Inside the B2B sales stack.

ZoomInfo, Apollo, Clay, Clearbit, Hunter — the companies that decide who sales teams can reach and what they know before they call. We read what they publish about themselves and write it up straight: the products, the plans, the positioning. Every claim carries its source.

The map

Three layers of the sales data stack

Every modern sales team runs on three layers: intelligence platforms that decide who to target, contact providers that supply the phone numbers and emails, and finders that verify the address before the first send. Here's who competes in each.

Sales Intelligence Platforms

The intelligence layer

ZoomInfo, Apollo.io, Clay, Clearbit, Cognism — platforms that fuse contact data with prospecting workflows and increasingly with AI copilots.

Contact Data Providers

The data layer

Lusha, UpLead, Seamless.AI, LeadIQ, RocketReach — the companies whose core product is the contact record itself. Lusha alone advertises 515M+ contacts.

Email Finders

The verification layer

Hunter.io and Snov.io — find the address, verify it, and send. Hunter claims it has helped millions of businesses over more than a decade.

How we work

Read closely, cite everything

1

Read — a polite, read-only scraper fetches each company's own pages: homepage, pricing, about. It honors robots.txt and fetches a handful of pages, not a crawl.

2

Write — each article is written from those pages: the company's own description, the products it lists, the plan names it publishes, the customers it claims.

3

Cite — every article ends with the exact URLs it was built from and the date they were read. If a page wasn't retrievable, the article says so instead of guessing.
